The Biber Project
Gascia Ouzounian (violin), Úna Monaghan (harp)
Sonata No. 4 from the Rosary (Mystery) Sonatas, composed by H.I.F. Biber in 1676. Originally composed for violin and harpsichord, Gascia, Úna and the electro-acoustic composer Gerard Gormley create new arrangements for violin, harp and electronics. Through www.optophono.com they will eventually issue these as interactive recordings whereby listeners can create their own accompaniment part or their own visuals for this wondrous music from the 17th century.
